Our Post Hurricane Florence Update

by Ahna Hendrix

It's mindblowing that it's been two months since we posted a blog - right before the frightful onset of Hurricane Florence.

The hurricane saw the entire Anahata team packing our vehicles with valuables and closing down our homes with prayers that all would we well upon our return.

And it mostly was - for a short while.

But in October, we received an eviction notice due to sustained damage from the storm at the Anahata House. As it had been ours for over 1.5 years, we were devastated, but far from alone among the displaced of Wilmington.

Loved ones came through to help us move and Kendall Hurt, the owner of a local boutique named Meadowlark, offered to share her gorgeous space with our clients until we find another Anahata House.

We're very blessed to be busy with orders from our successful Trunk Show and from the local ladies who kept their appointments after the storm.

I wanted to update our clients and fans now that the dust is settling as we are evaluating next steps for Anahata Swimwear.

Thank you for continuing to support our growing startup! ♥️
